Job summary
Gi Group are seeking a CMM Programmer for a precision engineering and advanced manufacturing business in Andover. You will program and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS to inspect complex, high-precision machined components against customer specifications. This permanent, full-time role offers competitive pay and development opportunities.
You will join the Inspection & Quality function, perform first-off, in-process and final inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience programming and operating CMM machines.
- Strong experience with PC-DMIS.
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings.
- Experience inspecting high-precision machined components.
- Excellent knowledge of inspection techniques and quality standards in manufacturing.
- Confident using manual measurement equipment (micrometres, gauges, verniers, height gauges).
Responsibilities
- Create and edit CMM inspection programmes
- Perform a variety of inspection techniques including first-off, in-process and final inspections
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately
- Support root cause investigations and quality improvement activity
