Job summary

Actio Recruitment is seeking an experienced CMM Inspector to join a precision engineering manufacturer in Southend-on-Sea. You will perform first-off, in-process and final inspections and ensure components meet drawings and customer specs.

CMM programming, vision inspection systems and meticulous documentation are key. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a 40-hour week with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CMM Inspector in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using micrometers, verniers, gauges and other precision measuring equipment.
• Strong experience programming and operating CMM machines.
• Experience with vision inspection systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-engineered components.
• Inspect parts against engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Program and operate CMM machines.
• Program and use vision inspection systems.
• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation accurately.
• Identify and report non-conforming products.
• Collaborate with production to ensure quality standards.
