Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Yarnton, Oxfordshire is seeking a CMM Operator to join a precision engineering team. You will set up and operate coordinate measuring machines to inspect components and support production and engineering to maintain quality.

You will read drawings and GD&T, analyse measurement data, and produce clear inspection reports, while identifying non-conformances.

This permanent role is 9:00am–5:30pm, with a salary up to £40,000 p/a, plus enhanced pension and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experienced CMM Operator in engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of CMM operations.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CMM equipment.
• Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Analyse measurement data and produce inspection reports.
• Identify and report non-conformances accurately.
