Job summary

Owen Daniels in Northampton is seeking a CMM Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate CMMs and other inspection equipment to measure precision parts and ensure timely, accurate inspections.

The role supports 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, with a flexible approach to workload priorities. Ideal candidates have metrology or CMM experience, strong GD&T and drawing interpretation, and proficiency with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience with metrology or CMM inspection.
• Experience using CMMs or precision measuring equipment.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Logical, proactive and quick to learn new skills.

Hours: Day shifts

Salary: 30,000 - £35,000 per annum + Benefits

Location: Northampton

CMM Operator – Key responsibilities:

• Operate CMMs and inspection equipment to measure precision-engineered components.

CMM Operator - Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous manufacturing experience, ideally within metrology or CMM inspection.
• Experience using CMMs or precision measuring equipment.
• Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Logical, proactive and willing to learn new skills.
