Job summary

JLR's Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton seeks a Plant Quality Audit CMM Technician to provide independent metrology support across Powertrain and Electrification components. You will program CMMs with Zeiss Calypso and GOM Scanbox, generate detailed reports, and assist root cause investigations to maintain top quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

Apprenticeship in metrology with strong understanding of measurement equipment.
Experience programming CMMs using Zeiss Calypso software.
Experience with GOM Scanbox systems in manufacturing/quality.
Ability to read engineering drawings and use CAD tools.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

Provide independent measurement service across machining and assembly operations.
Program and set up CMM equipment to meet requirements.
Create measurement reports and interpret data for root cause investigations.
Validate prototype, production and supplier components for variation control.
Collaborate with engineering and operations on quality improvements.
