Job summary

Gardner Denver Redditch site is seeking a CMM Inspector to ensure components meet specifications. You will program and operate CMMs using PC DMIS or QCT, inspect purchased and in-house parts, and collaborate with Quality Engineers on rejects.

Fully site based with a day shift, the role requires an apprentice background with 5 years in engineering and ONC/HNC qualifications. Comprehensive benefits include pension, health plan, and more.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained with minimum of 5 years working in an Engineering environment.
• ONC or HNC qualification.

Responsibilities

• CMM Programmer & Operator using PC DMIS or QCT.
• Inspect purchased components in line with Company drawings/specifications from details on purchase orders.
• Liaise with Quality Engineers when reject parts are found.
• Inspect in-house manufactured components/assemblies in line with company drawing/ specification.
• Pre-delivery Inspection of finished assemblies to Company drawing/specifications.
• To liaise with shop supervision, design, purchasing in discussions concerning quality problems.
• Maintain Inspection functions within SAP.
• To ensure any faults, deviations found are segregated and the necessary action taken.
• To assist in ensuring all measuring equipment is within current calibration.
• Support Company initiatives as required.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.
