An exciting new opportunity has arisen within this leading UK based engineering company for a CMM Inspector at its Rugby Manufacturing Headquarters.

THE ROLE

Reporting into the Engineering Quality Manager the role of the CMM/Mechanical Inspector is to ensure the highest level of quality is upheld within the measurement, calibration and product quality areas. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the site metrology area providing support and improvement to the manufacturing process.
  • To complete component measurements in the most efficient manner and in-line with drawings, customer requirements and adherence to ISO measurement standards
  • To produce measurement reports, providing analysis and recommendations for dimensional alterations to meet mean specification limits.
  • To develop and manage a robust metrology request system to prioritise requests.
  • To implement and manage a calibration system in adherence with the relevant ISO standards
  • Proficient in exporting CMM data
THE PERSON

In order to succeed in the role of CMM Inspector you will need experience of using CMM Measuring machinery, as well as experience of geometric tolerances, calibration and reading engineering drawings. This role will suit someone who has good hands on measurement and quality experience.
