Where: Birmingham (This is a fully on-site position. Remote or hybrid working arrangements are not available for this role.)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As a Cluster Lead Nurse, you will provide visible clinical leadership across substance misuse services, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and recovery-focused nursing care. You will lead the nursing workforce while working closely with operational managers and the multidisciplinary team to continuously improve clinical quality and patient outcomes.

Your role includes:

  • Lead and develop a team of registered nurses and healthcare assistants.
  • Provide professional nursing leadership across the cluster.
  • Deliver high-quality evidence-based clinical interventions for people experiencing drug and alcohol problems.
  • Ensure compliance with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements and organisational policies.
  • Support medicines management, prescribing governance and clinical risk management.
  • Lead safeguarding practice for adults and children.
  • Monitor clinical performance, audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coach, supervise and develop nursing staff through appraisal, supervision and training.
  • Work collaboratively with Service Managers, Consultant Psychiatrists, Doctors, Non-Medical Prescribers (NMPs) and Recovery Teams.
  • Promote integrated working with primary care, hospitals, mental health services and partner agencies.

Essential requirements included:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC)
  • Experience within drug and alcohol services or related fields
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation
  • Clinical assessment and risk management skills
  • Experience supervising and developing staff
  • Ability to work across multiple sites
  • Excellent organisational and partnership-working skills

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 45 to 47 (£51,199.03 - £53,526.89)
