Job summary

Oasis Academy Skinner Street is seeking a proactive Facilities Assistant to support the safe, secure and well-maintained running of the academy. You’ll help open and close the site, perform repairs and assist with events to create a welcoming environment for students and staff.

In this role you’ll carry out routine health, safety and compliance checks, support grounds maintenance and work with contractors on improvement projects. A full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the academy site.
• Carrying out basic repairs, decorating and maintenance tasks.
• Ensuring the safe opening and closing of academy premises.
• Conducting routine health, safety and compliance checks.
• Assisting with grounds maintenance and site presentation.
• Setting up rooms and equipment for events and activities.
• Supporting contractors and helping deliver improvement projects.
• Helping create a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
