Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring for an on-call SRE role in the UK to help build and operate cloud infrastructure at massive scale. You will work with a world-class team to ensure reliable services, respond to incidents, and implement automation to improve resilience.

Qualifications

Experience writing scripts from scratch to automate tasks.
Strong Linux background with debugging complex issues.
Knowledge of DNS/UDP/TCP/IP/HTTP and networking basics.
Experience owning secure, scalable, reliable services and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

Work proactively to solve potential problems and inefficiencies. Communicate clearly and collaborate with others to deliver results with minimal supervision.
Participating in 24/7 on-call rotation to troubleshoot high severity issues
Analyzing dashboards and investigating metrics with the vision for improvements
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and runbooks for documentation
Discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues, assess risks and develop creative solutions.
Develop strategies for resolving identified problems to prevent future occurrences
Assist others in the team
