Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a highly motivated engineer to help build and operate massive-scale cloud infrastructure. You will contribute to EC2-backed services, security, reliability, and automation across diverse AWS workloads.

The role emphasizes incident response, performance analysis, and process improvement while supporting a global customer base. You’ll join a world-class team focused on scalable, resilient cloud solutions and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Experience writing scripts from scratch to automate tasks.
Strong Linux background with depth in troubleshooting complex issues.
Solid understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTPs, routing and switching.
Proven ability to own services that are secure, scalable, reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities

Solve potential problems proactively and communicate clearly to deliver results with minimal supervision.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to troubleshoot high severity issues.
Analyze dashboards and metrics to drive improvements.
Create and maintain SOPs and runbooks for documentation.
Discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues and mitigate risks.
Develop strategies to prevent future occurrences and assist team members.
