Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to embed within a large-scale cloud migration programme moving workloads to AWS. You will design, automate, and enforce security controls across the migration lifecycle, ensuring workloads land in AWS with a secure, compliant posture.

The role blends cloud security architecture, infrastructure-as-code, and Python automation. You will build and enforce guardrails, implement IAM least-privilege, and integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines,

Qualifications

4+ years in security engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
Hands-on experience securing production AWS environments.
Proven experience delivering or securing cloud migration programmes.
Strong scripting/automation ability in Python.

Responsibilities

Define and implement security controls and landing zone baseline for AWS migrations.
Design and operate AWS-native security tooling across accounts and Organizations.
Build security automation in Python including Lambda functions and remediation scripts.
Author and maintain IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) for security services and IAM.
Integrate security into GitLab CI/CD pipelines with SAST, IaC scanning and secret detection.
Assess security posture during migration and remediate misconfigurations.
