Job summary

Canada Life UK is seeking a Platform Engineer to support the transformation of our IT estate, focusing on Azure, Databricks, and automation. You will design and maintain cloud and on-prem solutions, leveraging CI/CD pipelines and IaC to deliver secure, scalable applications across the enterprise.

The role requires experience with enterprise data platforms, scripting, and cloud governance, with a focus on automation, security, and collaboration in Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Platform/DevOps roles with enterprise data platforms.
• Scripting experience: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Proficient in infrastructure as code using Azure/AWS/GCP; IaC tools like Terraform/Bicep.
• Experience with Azure Databricks or Azure Data Factory governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-prem apps via CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment and maintenance.
• Monitor performance and optimize system health.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Onboard teams, services, and workloads onto the platform.
