Allwyn UK is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and optimise scalable data solutions across our AWS data platform. You will work with Redshift, Python, Airflow and AWS services to develop reliable data pipelines, support real-time data processing, and enable high-quality analytics and business insights.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with AWS data services including Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Experience designing and supporting data pipelines and ETL frameworks.
• Knowledge of Airflow, Spark and modern data engineering practices.
• Understanding of data modelling, warehousing and performance optimisation.
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD and Agile delivery methods.
• Desirable: experience in regulated environments like lottery, gaming or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL with Python, SQL, Airflow, AWS Glue and Redshift.
• Develop batch and near real-time data solutions for operations and analytics.
• Optimise performance, reliability and cost across the platform.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and operational support processes.
• Champion best practices, code quality, automation and documentation.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Analytics and Platform teams to deliver data solutions.
• Support data governance, security and compliance requirements.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
