Job summary

Microsoft Corporation in Birmingham is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to shape, modernise and optimise its Microsoft Azure and Fabric platforms. You’ll build a scalable, resilient, cost-aware environment with automation and IaC, enabling data and analytics growth across the business.

In this hybrid role, you will influence technical standards, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive improvements to platform performance and security.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Azure experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric administration, governance and operational management.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and modern deployment tooling.

Cloud Platform Engineer with strong Fabric and Azure skills is sought by a leading professional services organisation based in Birmingham.

This business is embarking on a significant business transformation programme, fundamentally changing how it operates, uses technology and delivers services to both internal and external stakeholders.

As part of this investment, the business is looking to appoint a cloud Platform Engineer who will help shape, modernise and optimise its Microsoft cloud and data platforms, creating the foundations needed to support long-term organisational change.

The role:

Working as part of a collaborative technology function, you will play an important role in developing and improving the organisation's Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric platforms.

The focus will be on building a more scalable, resilient and efficient technology environment, introducing greater automation, improving platform performance and ensuring the organisation has the right foundations to support its future ambitions.

With Microsoft Fabric becoming an increasingly important part of the organisation's technology strategy, you will also help establish the infrastructure and operational practices needed to support its growing data and analytics capabilities.

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity that also offers the chance to influence technical standards, contribute to strategic decisions and work closely with stakeholders across the wider business.
