Job summary

SF Partners in Birmingham is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer with strong Azure and Fabric experience to lead modernisation of our Microsoft cloud and data platforms. The role focuses on scalable, resilient infrastructure, automation and cost-efficient operations to support ongoing transformation.

You will work closely with technology and data teams, shaping standards and guiding deployment practices while delivering measurable improvements in performance and security.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in an enterprise or complex technology environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, particularly its administration, governance and operational management.
• Experience supporting and improving cloud infrastructure and enterprise technology platforms.
• A good understanding of cloud security, monitoring, resilience and cost optimisation.
• Exposure to automation, Infrastructure as Code or modern deployment tooling.
• Experience working collaboratively with technical teams and wider business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• A proactive approach to engineering, with an interest in helping shape how technology platforms evolve.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve the organisation's Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric platforms to be more scalable, resilient and efficient.
• Build foundations to support long-term data analytics capabilities and technology strategy.
• Introduce greater automation and ensure cost-efficient operation of cloud platforms.
• Influence technical standards and deployment practices, working with stakeholders across the business.
