Job summary

Opticore IT in London seeks a Senior Platform Architect to lead the design and delivery of cloud infrastructure for a 6-month contract inside IR35. The role requires one day onsite per week in White City, London, with work alongside post-production and solutions architects to translate requirements into viable, cost-effective cloud architecture.

Qualifications

AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification.
Hands-on AWS architecture or platform engineering experience.
Expertise in AWS networking and IAM design.
Experience with multi-tenancy and per-tenant isolation.
Experience with VDI/Remote desktop solutions (Teradici, DVC, etc.).

Responsibilities

Design and deploy a simple proxy and full resolution video editing in AWS cloud using GPU-accelerated workstations where necessary.
Make use of appropriate streaming infrastructure such as Teradici / Amazon DCV to cater for editors distributed across offices, home, etc.
Design for locations without Direct Connect and for remote work via the public Internet maintaining zero trust security.
Optimise storage with AWS storage tiering to minimise storage, transaction and retrieval costs.
Design storage software atop AWS object storage to provide file system support for apps that don’t natively support object storage.
