Just Group plc in London is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to ensure reliability and security of our cloud and on‑premise infrastructure across private data centres and hybrid environments.

You will manage 24/7 on‑call, automate tasks with scripts, collaborate with architects and product teams, maintain platform health, and contribute to continuous improvement across Microsoft 365, Azure and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Microsoft 365 and Azure in a complex enterprise environment.
• Hands-on device management with Intune, JAMF, Autopilot, BYOD.
• Knowledge of Windows and macOS endpoints.
• Experience deploying applications and patching.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and PKI.
• Understanding of cloud and infrastructure technologies including backups and virtual desktops.
• Solid networking basics and security services.
• Strong problem solving and collaboration in Agile environments.

Purpose

The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, security and continuous improvement of Just's cloud and infrastructure services across private data centre and hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 technical support and escalation expertise for cloud and infrastructure services.
• Manage, maintain and optimise IT infrastructure across private data centre and hybrid cloud environments.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects and technology teams to design and deliver technology solutions.
• Monitor platform health, investigate issues and take proactive action to maintain service availability and performance.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes, automation and efficiency.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams and external partners.
• Support a collaborative, customer‑focused culture and contribute to a \"One Team\" approach across Technology.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call support rota to help ensure the continuity of critical services.

Examples of Key Activities

• Support the day‑to‑day operation, maintenance and administration of cloud and infrastructure platforms.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents and service requests.
• Plan, prioritise and deliver operational tasks alongside project and change activities.
• Configure, manage and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, JAMF and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Work within Agile methodologies, managing work through Azure DevOps boards, backlogs and sprint activities.
• Contribute to technology projects, service enhancements and platform upgrades from design through to implementation.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles and operational procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting and managing Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure environments in a complex enterprise setting.
• Hands‑on experience with modern device management, including Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Autopilot and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions.
• Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) technologies and the management of Windows and macOS endpoints.
• Experience deploying, packaging and maintaining applications, including software updates and patching activities.
• Familiarity with core Microsoft infrastructure and security services, such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and PKI.
• Understanding of cloud and infrastructure technologies, including backup solutions, email services, virtual desktop environments and certificate management.
• Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancing and clustering concepts.
• Experience using scripting and automation to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage priorities and respond effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and Agile delivery practices.
