Job Overview:

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud adoption strategies, optimize cloud resources, and ensure seamless operational performance. You will be responsible for architecting and automating cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Additionally, you will leverage cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Serverless architectures to support modern enterprise needs, while implementing robust monitoring solutions and maintaining high standards of security and compliance.

What you'll need:

1. 8+ years of experience in IT operations with a focus on cloud technologies.
2. Proven expertise in architecting and managing solutions on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
3. Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
4. Strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless, etc.).
5. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic).
6. Familiarity with networking concepts, security protocols, and identity management.
7. General experience building SaaS applications.
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
9. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
10. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have but not essential:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
3. Cloud certifications.
4. Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud strategies.
5. Background in software development.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture and Design:

1. Develop and implement scalable cloud solutions across multiple platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
2. Design robust cloud architectures for high availability, performance, and disaster recovery.
3. Define and enforce best practices for cloud infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance.

Operations Management:

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
2. Implement monitoring and logging frameworks to proactively identify and resolve issues.
3. Drive cost optimization initiatives by implementing efficient resource utilization strategies.

Automation and CI/CD:

1. Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
2. Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and infrastructure updates.
3. Automate routine cloud management tasks to enhance operational efficiency.

Governance and Compliance:

1. Establish policies and guidelines for cloud usage and governance.
2. Ensure cloud solutions adhere to industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
3. Conduct regular security and compliance audits of cloud environments.

Collaboration and Leadership:

1. Partner with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to align cloud operations with business goals.
2. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members and stakeholders.
3. Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation.

Incident Response and Troubleshooting:

1. Lead incident response efforts for cloud-related outages or disruptions.
2. Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across cloud platforms.
