Job summary

Bright Purple Resourcing is seeking a senior software engineer to design and deliver a cloud-native IaC platform from scratch. You will work with Docker Compose, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Go to build scalable infrastructure tooling for AWS, with a goal of portability to other clouds.

You should have Linux admin experience, a collaborative mindset, and a track record in SaaS environments. The role offers remote work across Europe or hybrid in Edinburgh, UK, with a competitive £100,000

Qualifications

Experience designing and delivering complex IaC capabilities from scratch.
Background in cloud-native SaaS systems.
Expertise in software design and development for cloud-native IaC platforms.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with a focus on quality.
Proven experience with AWS, Terraform, Python, Go, and Bash.
Familiarity with clustering, load balancing, networking and telemetry in AWS.
Proficiency in Linux system administration and service configuration.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a software engineering team to architect and build a new cloud-native IaC platform.
Develop software using Docker Compose, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and Go.
Provision and orchestrate open-source services like Loki, Redis, Grafana, Authentik, Netbird.
