Job summary

Moody’s is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help design, deploy and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms powering Moody’s products in London. You will drive serverless adoption, container-based modernization, and governance through IaC and policy automation.

You will join the DC&I DevOps team, delivering automated deployment pipelines, optimizing resource use, and partnering with engineering to raise reliability, security, and efficiency across Moody’s digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with source control and CI/CD tooling (Git/GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Basic Linux knowledge and interest in expanding technical skills.
• Exposure to containerization (Docker).
• Understanding of security concepts in cloud/DevOps (least privilege, secrets management).
• Interest in AI concepts and responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Support design, deployment, and operation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms powering Moody’s products.
• Drive adoption of serverless and container-based architectures to modernize applications and improve delivery efficiency.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code practices for governance and compliance.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD infrastructure enabling efficient software delivery.
• Monitor AWS resource usage to balance reliability, performance, and cost.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve operational excellence and platform reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance productivity, security, and scalability.
