Qualifications

• Backend software development experience in production environments.
• Proficient in at least one major language (Java, Go, C/C++, Python).
• Strong fundamentals: testing, code reviews, debugging, and documentation.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native development.
• Able to troubleshoot and collaborate with other engineers.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn new technologies in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services for Confluent Cloud customers.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design scalable, reliable services.
• Troubleshoot issues across microservices, containers and cloud infrastructure.
• Write clean, well-tested code following best practices.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
• Support deployment, monitoring and operation of production services.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver projects and resolve challenges.
• Learn and contribute to improvements in service reliability and performance.
