Role summary

The Cloud Monitoring & Compliance Engineer provides visibility into security and compliance across KPMG's cloud environments, ensuring configurations and data security. Responsibilities include managing GSOC tools on Windows, Azure, and O365, and supporting multi-cloud environments alongside a team of security professionals. Key duties:

  • Analyzing MDC Product alerts requests.
  • Customizing Cloud Security Posture Management and Microsoft Defender features.
  • Onboarding cloud tenants and providers.
  • Implementing automated remediation.
  • Liaising with vendors to optimize products.
  • Managing and troubleshooting tools daily.
  • Collaborating with teams for new opportunities.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Using DevOps tools for project tracking.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyzing MDC alerts requests.
  • Enhancing CSPM and CWP features.
  • Planning automated responses.
  • Vendor engagement.
  • Onboarding cloud tenants/providers.
  • Tool management and troubleshooting.

Experience / Qualifications

  • IT experience with major cloud providers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management tools.
  • Experience securing cloud environments, compliance, and certifications.
  • Understanding API security and standards.
  • Knowledge of exploits, malware, and detection.
  • Web architecture and system admin skills.
  • Experience with RQL, KQL, or SQL queries.
  • Hands-on with Azure, AWS, or GCP security features.
  • Programming with Python or PowerShell.
