Role summary

The Cloud Monitoring & Compliance Engineer ensures visibility into security and compliance across KPMG's cloud native environments. Responsibilities include managing security configurations, compliance guardrails, and supporting tools on Windows, Azure, and O365 platforms. The role involves working with a team of security professionals to monitor and enhance cloud security measures, including:

• Analyzing alerts related to cloud security products (CWP & CSPM)
• Customizing and enhancing Cloud Security Posture Management and Cloud Workflow Protection features
• Onboarding new tenants and cloud providers
• Implementing automated remediation processes
• Collaborating with vendors on product development and roadmaps
• Managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security tools
• Working with other teams to identify new security opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and standards
• Using DevOps practices to document and track tasks

Key Accountabilities

• Analyzing security alerts and requests
• Enhancing cloud security features to meet organizational needs
• Automating remediation activities
• Vendor engagement for product development
• Onboarding and managing cloud tenants
• Maintaining security tools and processes

Experience / Qualifications

• IT experience with major cloud providers
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Cloud Security Posture Management tools (Microsoft MDC, Twistlock, Redlock)
• Experience securing cloud environments and ensuring compliance
• Understanding of API security and standards
• Knowledge of exploits, malware, and detection methods
• Experience with web architecture and system administration
• Proficiency in RQL, KQL, or SQL queries
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP security features
• Programming skills in Python or PowerShell
