Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and development through challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain technical relationships with both internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between engineering and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - What you’ll do:
  • Train internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on nominated accounts.
  • Highlight trends, security threats, or technical bulletins affecting customers.
  • Manage documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services (TCS).
  • Follow internal and external processes for task allocation, completion, reporting, and change management.
  • Assist with Proof of Concept (PoC) scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW documentation.
  • Conduct peer reviews of engineering documentation.
  • Assist or lead in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
  • Attend customer meetings such as support reviews, project roadmaps, and incident reviews.
  • Ensure accurate timesheet submissions.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and training aligned with business objectives.
  • Complete overtime and expenses accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to GDPR and security policies regarding sensitive data and information.
Cloud Engineer - Who you are:

The ideal candidate will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including some Azure knowledge, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange. We will support your development in these areas. You should have a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and experience working in a support environment (IT Managed Service). Experience with On-premise Cloud Services is also desirable.

  • VCP 6.x-DCV (Desirable)
  • MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above

  • Azure MFA and Identity Services
  • Microsoft System Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 or above
