Job summary

Amtis Professional Ltd is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in the West Midlands. This hybrid role combines hands-on Azure infrastructure design with automation, IaC, and security. You will shape how cloud services are deployed and governed across the organisation.

You’ll work across Terraform/Bicep, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure services, ensuring scalable, compliant, and cost-optimised cloud solutions. The position offers up to £60,000 and a 37.5-hour week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Cloud, Infrastructure or Systems Engineering.
• Hands-on Azure IaaS and PaaS experience.
• Experience with Terraform or Bicep as IaC.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying and managing Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Building and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Bicep or similar.
• Developing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery.
• Improving automation and repeatability across deployments.
• Implementing cloud governance, security controls and cost optimisation.

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

West Midlands | Hybrid Working (1 day on-site per week)

Full Time - 37.5 hours

Salary: Up to £60,000

We’re recruiting a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join an established organisation as it continues to develop and modernise its Microsoft Azure environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role with genuine scope to influence how cloud infrastructure is designed and delivered. You’ll work across Azure, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, automation, security and hybrid identity, helping move the environment towards increasingly cloud-native ways of working.

The role

You’ll act as a technical specialist for Azure infrastructure, designing and delivering secure, scalable and resilient cloud services.

• Developing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery

What we're looking for

• 5+ years' experience within Cloud, Infrastructure or Systems Engineering
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across IaaS and PaaS
• Commercial experience with Terraform, Bicep or another IaC technology
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong networking, server, storage and virtualisation knowledge
• Experience across cloud security, compliance and monitoring
• Automation/scripting experience with PowerShell, Python or similar
• Experience with containers, Azure Application Gateway/WAF/Load Balancers or Azure data services would be advantageous. Azure and/or Terraform certifications/experience would also be beneficial.
