Job summary

VIQU Limited is recruiting a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a hybrid cloud environment and provide BAU services from our Manchester client site. The role focuses on monitoring, maintenance and incident resolution to ensure a secure, stable, and high-performing platform.

You will work with internal teams to sustain service delivery and platform reliability, performing patching, changes and root-cause analyses as required.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Operations or 3rd Line Infrastructure roles.
• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or Azure Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
• Proven troubleshooting skills in Azure environments.
• Experience delivering services within an ITIL framework.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert 3rd Line support across enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor cloud platform health, availability and capacity.
• Support and administer Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to investigate infrastructure-related issues.
• Carry out infrastructure patching, maintenance and planned change activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to recurring issues.
• Respond to major incidents and participate in technical escalations.
• Participate in Cloud Infrastructure improvement initiatives and projects.

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Manchester - Contract - Immediate Start

My client is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to provide BAU support for a hybrid environment.

The role has come about due to increase workload across the business meaning multiple Team Members have been seconded to projects. It will focus on monitoring, maintenance and incident resolution, ensuring a secure, stable, and well-performing environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to support ongoing service delivery and platform reliability.

Key Skills and experience of the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:

• Must have extensive experience in a Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Operations or 3rd Line Infrastructure role.
• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Hands-on experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop or Azure Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
• Strong Azure troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting business-critical environments within an ITIL framework.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer:

• Provide expert 3rd Line support across enterprise cloud infrastructure.

• Support bespoke applications hosted within Azure, working alongside development teams to investigate infrastructure-related issues.
• Carry out infrastructure patching, maintenance and planned change activities.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes to recurring issues.
• Respond to major incidents and participate in technical escalations.
• Participate in Cloud Infrastructure improvement initiatives and projects if required.

The Successful Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be commutable to the client site in Manchester.
