Job summary

Voyage Care Ltd in the United Kingdom offers a Hybrid role for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deliver, and evolve our Azure environment across care locations. You will work hands-on across Azure IaaS and PaaS, implement IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls, while driving automation and cost optimisation.

The role requires 5+ years in Cloud/Infra and experience with Azure, IaC, and containers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud / Infrastructure / Systems Engineering.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
• Hands-on IaC experience (Terraform, Bicep).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of networking, servers, storage, and virtualization.
• Experience managing security, compliance, and monitoring.
• Azure certifications (Administrator, Architect).
• Terraform certification.
• Experience with containers and container platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure Application Gateway / WAF / Load Balancers.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure services (IaaS & PaaS).
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience across platforms.
• Implement governance, security controls, and cost optimisation strategies.
• Build and maintain IaC solutions (Terraform, Bicep, or similar).
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure and application delivery.
• Drive a 'shift-left' approach to automation and repeatable deployments.
• Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance controls.
• Monitor performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Manage Azure AD, SSO, and hybrid identity (Azure AD Connect).
• Support transition to cloud-native identity solutions.
• Design and test backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ensure systems are resilient and recoverable.
• Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
• Lead root cause analysis and deliver long-term fixes.

Voyage Care is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in designing, delivering, and evolving our Microsoft Azure environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation where your work directly supports digital services used across hundreds of care locations nationwide.

As we accelerate our move to cloud-native architecture, you'll be at the forefront of driving modern infrastructure practices including Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps, and platform automation.

The Role

You'll act as a subject matter expert for Azure infrastructure, ensuring our platforms are secure, scalable, and highly available. Working collaboratively across IT teams, you'll help deliver reliable services that underpin critical care operations.

This role combines hands-on engineering, platform design, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to shape our cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities
