Profectus Recruitment is partnering with an established financial services business to recruit an IT Infrastructure Architect. The role will suit an experienced architect who translates business requirements into practical, secure technical designs and owns critical infrastructure decisions.

Joining a small architecture function, you will shape cloud-native and hybrid services, contribute to technology strategy, and ensure architecture standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Experience owning infrastructure architecture and solution design.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical designs.
• Experience producing architecture documentation, design standards and principles.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders across the business.
• Practical approach to governance and independent decision-making.
• Solid understanding of security considerations within infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Translating business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.
• Designing and supporting the evolution of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure.
• Reviewing proposed solutions through the design authority process.
• Developing and maintaining architecture principles, technical standards and design documentation.
• Assessing existing infrastructure and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluating technologies, costs and delivery options to support informed decisions.
• Working with delivery teams and external suppliers to guide implementation.
• Incorporating security, resilience and regulatory requirements into solution designs.
