Job summary

Manufacturing Recruitment LTD is seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to collaborate with engineering, data and finance teams to drive financial accountability, cost transparency, and optimisation across Azure and Snowflake. You will lead governance and cost observability to ensure efficient cloud spend.

The role focuses on cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, and actionable reductions through rightsizing, scheduling, and tagging.

Qualifications

• Strong financial analysis capability with spend modelling and forecasting.
• Excellent communication to explain cost concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Persistent, proactive, and able to navigate organisational complexity to drive cost outcomes.
• Knowledge of cloud pricing models and platform fundamentals (Azure, Snowflake, Kubecost desirable).
• Experience with FinOps practices and cost management tools, particularly Kubecost and cloud-native cost portals (KQL desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Finance and technical teams to support cost visibility and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FinOps optimisation agenda across cloud and data platforms.
• Analyse cloud and Snowflake spend, identify trends and optimisation opportunities.
• Implement and track cost-saving actions such as rightsizing and scheduling.
• Develop, maintain and enforce cloud and data cost governance frameworks.
• Oversee cost observability tooling to ensure visibility of usage and budgets.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering and Data teams to embed cost-awareness.
