Job summary

Hastings Direct, a digital insurance provider in the UK, is seeking a Cloud FinOps Analyst to join the Change and Governance FinOps team. You will produce cloud usage insights, implement governance, and track optimisation initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have strong financial analysis skills, a passion for cloud technology, and the ability to communicate financial value to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong financial analysis skills with ability to present spend insights and recommendations.
• Passion for cloud technology and ability to articulate cloud value in financial terms.
• Persistent, proactive mindset with ability to navigate complex business situations and drive value.
• Fundamental understanding of cloud platforms and usage/cost dynamics; knowledge of Azure, Snowflake, Kubecost and KQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse cloud infrastructure costs, identify trends and provide optimization recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and track cost-saving strategies.
• Maintain understanding of cloud resource usage patterns and identify waste.
• Develop and manage cloud budgets, track costs against budget and report to stakeholders.
• Generate financial reports related to cloud costs, including cost allocation and chargeback.
