Job summary

Arthur Recruitment seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, build and optimise the Microsoft Azure platform for a regulated enterprise in London. You will work on landing zones, IaC, automation and security best practices across a complex environment.

You will have strong hands-on Azure expertise, Terraform/ARM/Bicep, Azure DevOps, AKS, and PowerShell, with experience in migrations, Zero Trust and disaster recovery. Hybrid London/WFH arrangement.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure across enterprise environments.
• IaC using Terraform, ARM or Bicep in production.
• Hands-on security, governance and cloud-landing zones.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in regulated (insurance/financial) sectors.
• Hybrid work model with London location.

Job description

A growing insurance company is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to support the design, build and optimisation of its Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering cloud infrastructure, landing zones, automation and security best practices across a complex enterprise environment.

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
• Expertise across Azure services including:
• API Management (APIM)
• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity solutions
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM or Bicep
• Expertise in Azure governance, security and best practices
• Experience with cloud migrations and infrastructure modernisation projects
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, load balancing and security controls
• Experience working within regulated enterprise environments
• Previous Insurance or Financial Services experience
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
• Experience implementing Zero Trust security principles
• Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning

Rate: Up to £700 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Contract Duration: Initial 3 Months

Location: London EC3A / WFH Hybrid
