Job summary

West Yorkshire Pension Fund is seeking a lead for cloud architecture to design, implement and maintain scalable hybrid cloud environments. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure secure, high-performing systems and support other technology teams and business functions.

The role requires advanced cloud framework knowledge and an understanding of cybersecurity to monitor, detect, and respond to threats as the first line of defense.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage development of cloud-based applications and infrastructure for WYPF.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support other technology teams and wider admin/finance teams.

Job description

This is a new and pivotal role in WYPF who leads and manages the development of cloud-based applications and infrastructure for WYPF as we continue to grow and develop our organisational model over the next 3 to 5 years.

The role requires the holder to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high performing hybrid cloud environment in conjunction with key internal and external stakeholders.

It is key to support other technology teams and WYPF's wider teams for example administration and finance.

This is a technical role and required advanced cloud framework and management systems knowledge in a Hybrid environment, covering virtualised and containerised IT systems. Understanding of cyber security is also vital to design monitoring, detection, and response to security threats; being the first line of defence in keeping systems safe.
