Job summary

Interface Recruitment partners with a fast-growing professional services group to appoint an IT Operations Manager in Manchester. You will own day-to-day technology operations and act as the principal link between the business and its MSP partner.

The role is hybrid in Manchester, reporting to the CTO, with the chance to build a small internal team as the programme grows. A modern cloud-first environment and ongoing digital transformation are core priorities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience across Microsoft 365 and Azure, including Entra ID, SharePoint and Teams.
• Experience managing an outsourced IT provider or MSP.
• Solid grounding in IT service delivery and continual improvement.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud or migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational relationship with the managed service partner, covering SLAs, incidents and improvements.
• Oversee the Microsoft estate: 365, Azure, Entra ID, SharePoint and Teams.
• Coordinate user access, onboarding and offboarding.
• Support cloud migrations and infrastructure modernization.
• Provide input into CRM, onboarding, automation, AI and data programmes.
• Manage suppliers, contracts, renewals and costs.
• Communicate technical matters clearly across the firm.
• Identify opportunities to improve services, systems and processes.
