Job summary

Altium Limited, part of the Renesas Group, is recruiting a Staff DevOps Engineer in Cambridge to architect cloud-native environments and streamline deployment pipelines. You will deliver automation solutions that scale customer success, working closely with software teams in a high-impact role.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, infrastructure excellence, and continuous improvement in a hybrid office model near Cambridge Science Park.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a DevOps/SRE environment.
• 6+ years of experience with Linux and Windows systems.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS Cloud components (EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, OpenSearch, S3, FSX, Route53).
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab or similar CI systems.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Good knowledge of SDLC and microservices architecture.
• Experience monitoring Kubernetes clusters and AWS services (New Relic, Prometheus).
• Ability to create automation tools in Go, Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Familiarity with Continuous Delivery tools for microservices.
• Coding experience.

• Have clear and solid relationships with software development departments.
• Plan and document work and projects.
• Build and continuously optimize CI/CD process and streamline automation for server provisioning and applications deployment.
• Build a resilient and scalable service infrastructure to accommodate regions.
• Deploy, monitor and scale application services.
• Mentor team members and drive knowledge sharing.
• Participate in project management and ongoing strategic planning.
