Job summary

Altium Limited, part of the Renesas Group and headquartered in San Diego, seeks a Cloud DevOps Engineer to build and operate AWS infrastructure, automate deployments, and enhance day-to-day workflows. The role emphasizes Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), and automation across Python/Go/Bash/PowerShell.

The candidate will own IaC, improve CI/CD pipelines, and participate in on-call rotations, with deployment across production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience.
• Strong AWS experience with core services (EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, Route 53, VPC).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure for production and non-production environments.
• Develop and own Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Operate and support K8s (EKS) workloads: deployments, scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release automation (Jenkins/GitLab CI).
• Implement automation and tooling in Python/Go/Bash/PowerShell to reduce manual work.
• Improve monitoring and alerting for AWS and K8s (Prometheus/New Relic).
• Participate in on-call rotation and drive operational improvements after incidents.
