Job summary

Reed Exhibitions Limited Company is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer within the GTECH Cloud Engineering team in Richmond, London to build, automate, secure and support RX Cloud Platforms across AWS and Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with software engineering and cloud teams to improve cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability and platform reliability.

The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code, Terraform/CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, and cloud security, with scripting

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with IaC tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD practices.
• Scripting skills (Bash/PowerShell) and Linux environment experience.
• Familiarity with monitoring, security, IAM best practices, and incident response.

• Build, maintain and support RX Cloud Platforms on AWS/Azure.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and reusable patterns.
• Automate deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions and CI/CD tooling.
• Improve deployment processes, release automation and observability.

• Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting; participate in RCA.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to support troubleshooting and documentation.
• Collaborate with software engineering and cloud teams in an agile environment.

About the Role As a Cloud DevOps Engineer within GTECH Cloud Engineering, you will help build, automate, secure and support RX Cloud Platforms across AWS and Microsoft Azure. Based in Richmond, London, you will work closely with software engineering and cloud teams to improve cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability and platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and support AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Support AWS services including EKS, EC2, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, ALB, VPC, IAM, Systems Manager and CloudWatch.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and reusable infrastructure patterns.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related tooling.
• Work with development teams to improve deployment processes and release automation.
• Apply cloud security best practices and support security remediation activities.
• Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions and participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Automate repetitive operational activities and use AI-assisted engineering tools to support troubleshooting, documentation and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvements across cloud platforms, tooling and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Good hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with a range of cloud services such as EKS/AKS, EC2, ECS/Fargate, IAM, VPC/Virtual Networks, Route53, CloudFront, RDS, S3, ALB, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, Azure Storage and Azure Monitor.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions and CI/CD practices.
• Bash or PowerShell scripting skills and experience working with Linux environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, cloud security and IAM best practices.
• Good troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with software engineering or Agile delivery teams.
• An automation-first mindset and willingness to take ownership of delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.
• Exposure to complementary technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, OpenSearch, Elastic Cloud, Python, AWS Control Tower, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, GCP, FinOps, cloud cost optimisation or AI-assisted engineering tools would be beneficial.
