Job summary

RX Global is seeking a Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join the GTECH Cloud Engineering team in Richmond, London. You will build, automate, secure, and support RX Cloud Platforms on AWS and Azure, collaborating with software and cloud teams to boost deployment automation, observability, and platform reliability.

You will implement IaC with Terraform, contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, and apply security best practices while improving monitoring, logging and incident response.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar IaC tooling.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions and CI/CD practices.
• Scripting in Bash or PowerShell; Linux environments.
• Monitoring, security and IAM best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and support AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC.
• Support AWS services like EKS, EC2, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, ALB, VPC, IAM, Systems Manager, CloudWatch.
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and reusable patterns.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Work with dev teams to improve deployment processes and release automation.
• Apply cloud security best practices and remediation activities.
• Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting; participate in incident analysis.
• Automate repetitive ops tasks and leverage AI-assisted tools.

Based in Richmond, London, you will work closely with software engineering and cloud teams to improve cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability and platform reliability. ## Responsibilities* Build, maintain and support AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.* Support AWS services including EKS, EC2, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route53, ALB, VPC, IAM, Systems Manager and CloudWatch.* Develop and maintain Terraform modules and reusable infrastructure patterns.* Build and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and related tooling.* Work with development teams to improve deployment processes and release automation.* Apply cloud security best practices and support security remediation activities.* Maintain monitoring, logging and alerting solutions and participate in incident investigation and root cause analysis.* Automate repetitive operational activities and use AI-assisted engineering tools to support troubleshooting, documentation and operational efficiency.* Contribute to continuous improvements across cloud platforms, tooling and engineering practices. ## Requirements* Good hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.* Experience with a range of cloud services such as EKS/AKS, EC2, ECS/Fargate, IAM, VPC/Virtual Networks, Route53, CloudFront, RDS, S3, ALB, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, Azure Storage and Azure Monitor.* Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar Infrastructure as Code tooling.* Experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions and CI/CD practices.* Bash or PowerShell scripting skills and experience working with Linux environments.* Familiarity with monitoring, logging, cloud security and IAM best practices.* Good troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills.* Experience working with software engineering or Agile delivery teams.* An automation-first mindset and willingness to take ownership of delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.* Exposure to complementary technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, OpenSearch, Elastic Cloud, Python, AWS Control Tower, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, GCP, FinOps, cloud cost optimisation or AI-assisted engineering tools would be beneficial. **Work in a Way That Works for You**We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
