Job summary

Aviva is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help shape the future of Commercial Insurance through data, analytics and AI. You’ll design, build and optimise data pipelines on a strategic cloud platform, delivering trusted data for underwriting, pricing, claims and analytics.

You will work with Snowflake, DBT, Airflow and AWS, collaborating with a wide range of business and technical stakeholders to unlock new opportunities through data.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills with experience building and optimising data pipelines.
• Modern cloud data platform experience including DBT, Snowflake, Airflow and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise data pipelines and data products to deliver trusted data across the business.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, architects and stakeholders to solve complex challenges.
• Develop reusable code and promote engineering best practices including CI/CD and automated testing.
