Job summary

Quilter is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join the Chief Data Office team in Southampton or London. The role focuses on delivering cloud-native data platform capabilities that enable data engineering, reporting, analytics and AI workloads.

You will collaborate across teams to design scalable, secure platform features and drive improvements in deployment pipelines and observability. The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks, Terraform and Python, and will

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Hands-on data platform design, build and maintenance experience.
• Experience with cloud data security practices and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-native data platform capabilities for data engineering, BI, analytics and AI workloads.
• Ensure platforms follow IaC, CI/CD and DevOps practices with secure-by-design principles.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to translate needs into engineering deliverables.
• Maintain high availability, performance and observability of data platforms through monitoring and logging.
