Job summary

the company in London, UK is seeking a talented Software/Data Engineer to join our Data Platforms team and help build, modernise, and support a strategic enterprise data platform within the Asset & Wealth Management sector.

You will work hands-on with Snowflake, SQL, Python, dbt, and CI/CD, develop cloud solutions in Azure, manage deployments with Azure DevOps or GitHub, and collaborate with analysts and engineers to deliver scalable, reliable data products.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Snowflake, and Python.
• Experience building and maintaining dbt models and data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of dimensional data modelling (Kimball methodology).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control and release management.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, testing, and code quality standards.
• Asset & Wealth Management or Investment Management domain experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines, transformations, and data models using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and dbt.
• Develop and support cloud-based data solutions within Azure.
• Manage source control, deployments, and CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Build automation and integration services using Python.
• Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and improve platform reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and engineers to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Utilise AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve productivity and delivery quality.
