Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd. is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to provide technical leadership across enterprise data platforms, architecture and engineering capabilities. You will design secure, scalable cloud-based data solutions and set standards to enable data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics.

You will mentor data teams, drive DevOps/DataOps adoption, oversee governance, quality and security, and collaborate with architects and stakeholders to shape the data strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years' experience in data engineering or data platform development.
• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and architectures.
• Experience with DevOps/DataOps, automation, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality, security and compliance.
• Excellent technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve scalable, secure enterprise data architectures and platforms.
• Lead the development of data pipelines, integration frameworks and data products.
• Establish engineering standards, reusable patterns and best practices.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies, DevOps, DataOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Champion data quality, governance, lineage, security and compliance.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to data engineering teams.
• Support cloud migration and data platform modernisation.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies and delivery challenges.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and influence technology strategy and roadmaps.
