Job summary
Citi Belfast is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Lead to drive cloud-native data services and Databricks adoption. You will lead Spark/Scala implementations, AI-enabled analytics, and scalable data platforms on AWS, aligning with enterprise standards and governance.
You will mentor engineers, coordinate with senior leaders, and guide data processing, optimisation and risk-aware delivery across the GRU tech space.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience delivering cloud data platforms and data services.
- Subject Matter Expert in applications development and data engineering.
- Strong leadership, governance, and CI/CD delivery capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, engineering and delivery of cloud data services and Databricks/AWS data solutions.
- Drive migration to Databricks, Spark/Scala optimisations and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Set engineering standards, mentor developers, and coordinate with senior leadership.
- Ensure scalable, secure, resilient data platforms and effective risk management.
