Job summary

Templeton & Partners seeks an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of large‑scale cloud data platforms for clients in the UK Insurance and Financial Services sector. The role requires deep expertise in AWS, Databricks, and MongoDB, with strong domain knowledge in insurance. Location: United Kingdom (Hybrid).

Qualifications

Senior-level data architecture experience.
Strong cloud data platform design skills.
Experience across insurance data domains and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

Define and own enterprise-wide data architecture frameworks and cloud data strategies.
Design and implement scalable Lakehouse architectures leveraging AWS and Databricks.
Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Lead data modernisation initiatives, including migration from legacy platforms to cloud environments.
Establish best practices for data governance, security, lineage, and data quality.
Partner with business leaders, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic objectives.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to data engineers and wider data teams.
