Job summary

Amazon Security’s Epoxy team seeks engineers to design and build automation platforms for threat detection across a vast AWS fleet. You will develop scalable services, own operational reliability, and contribute to incident response with robust runbooks and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience in at least one modern language (Java, C++, or C#) including OO design.
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with the full SDLC: coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver features that solve difficult problems across services with clear goals.
• Own operational excellence by instrumenting systems and reducing toil through automation.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code with documentation and runbooks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support services and incident responses.
• Resolve issues with permanent fixes and drive resilience and scalability.
• Raise the bar via reviews and cross-team collaboration; mentor teammates and interns.
• Break features into deliverables and ship incrementally with tests and monitoring.
