Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 depending on experience

Our client, a tier 1 IT services provider, is offering an exciting Cloud Architect leadership role tasked with building and leading a team of architects to deliver cloud infrastructure projects. The company specialises in designing and building mission-critical technology systems and has a fantastic reputation for progression, both vertical and horizontal.

What you'll do as a Cloud Architect:

• Oversee the entire project end to end from planning through to delivery
• Position yourself as the SME to the client and advise on targets and progress
• Assemble a team and unite the various stakeholders internally and on the client side
• Develop a deep understanding of the needs and desired outcomes of the project
• Design the best possible solution and oversee implementation

What makes a great Cloud Architect:

• Experience formulating engineering teams
• Experience utilising hyperscaler technology in cloud locations e.g. Azure Stack HCI or Hub, AWS Outposts, Anthos.
• Ability to use cloud native tooling to observe platforms, products, and applications running in the public and private cloud
• Proficiency in adopting and optimising cloud native solutions
• Experience in two of the following: Agile Delivery, SRE, DevSecOps, Product based Delivery
• Competent in large transformational projects, particularly cloud-based projects
• Strong design and implementation of cloud solutions skills
• Proficient understanding of Agile Delivery and key technologies involved

Desirable experience:

• Master Certified Architect
• Certifications on Cloud Hyperscaler e.g. AWS/Azure/Google
• API and Integration proficiency
• Familiar with network standards, storage solutions, security controls
• Experience using FinOps and/or SRE to optimise a cloud service
