Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Clothing Technologist to lead the Womenswear product development, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with customer expectations. You will collaborate with suppliers, designers and retail teams to deliver innovative clothing ranges within timelines and sustainability guidelines.

You will line manage a small team and drive improvements across fit, build quality and customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Experience in line management and people leadership.
Experience coordinating and managing fit sessions in product development.
Experience approving fit, quality and customer requirements.
Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement mitigations.
Technical knowledge of product construction and build quality in fashion/apparel.
Analytical mindset to interpret returns data and customer feedback.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end development and delivery of Sainsbury's Clothing product plans.
Collaborate with suppliers, designers, buyers, merchandisers and retail teams to ensure quality, safety and legality.
Manage risk assessments, critical timelines and technical approvals; resolve issues and manage stock.
Support implementation of sustainability plans and uphold company values.
Line manage a small team and drive continuous improvement across product development.
