Job summary

Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU) at the University of Oxford is seeking a Medical Statistician (Grade 6) to join the NDORMS-based Statistics Team. The role involves designing and setting up clinical trials within a multidisciplinary context, and contributing statistical input to protocols and ethics submissions.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree in statistics with medical statistics experience, be proficient in R or Stata, and able to manage multiple projects

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in statistics (or closely related subject).
• Experience in medical statistics or clinical trials.
• Proficient knowledge of statistical software (R or Stata).
• Good communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and set-up of clinical trials with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide statistical input into protocols and ethics submissions.
• Advise on data collection, CRF development, validation and data management.
• Prepare SAPs and create statistical programs for study analyses.
• Generate, validate and monitor randomisation schedules; conduct interim/final analyses.
