Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate and further develop excellent clinical dermatology skills. You will lead on a specific subspecialty dermatology service, support key areas including nurse-led clinics, assist junior staff development, and participate in nursing management alongside the Lead Nurse. Responsibilities include undertaking investigations such as skin biopsies, providing dermatology treatments, administering medications, and working closely with the medical team and nursing colleagues.

Applicants should have at least two years’ experience in a dermatology setting. Opportunities for professional development are available within and outside the department. The post requires sound decision-making and leadership skills to manage your workload and support junior staff. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to meet the department's needs.
We operate in a friendly, team-oriented environment with dedicated dermatology facilities and strong multidisciplinary relationships. Core working hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with flexible shift patterns. No bank holidays or night duties are involved. The OUH Flexible Working Policy applies.
