Job summary

Persistent Systems plc is seeking an experienced Project/Product Manager to lead data-focused projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, with emphasis on clinical trial data and CDISC standards.

You will collaborate with Sales on pre-sales and with Account Management on cross-sell opportunities, while supporting engineers and managing backlogs; occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role or in top consulting firms.
• Proven track record of leading IT projects in pharma/biotech.
• Knowledge of CDISC standards (SDTM, ADaM, SEND).
• Background in molecular biology or bioinformatics is a strong plus.
• Experience in working directly with clients and managing relationships.
• Ability to talk to both business and technical people.
• High motivation, can-do attitude, professionalism.
• Willingness to travel a few times a year.

Responsibilities

• Lead data-focused projects for pharma and biotech clients, especially those related to clinical trials.
• Build strong relationships with clients: understand needs, offer advice, and solve problems.
• Ensure clients are satisfied and want to continue working with us.
• Collaborate with Sales on pre-sales and Account Management on cross-sell/upsell by identifying needs and providing insights.
• Step in as Project or Product Manager when needed: manage backlog, clarify requirements, support engineers.
